It all began in 2022 when we, Chris and Linda Swart, were on the hunt for the perfect stroller for our daughter-in-law. We quickly realized that most options on the market were either overpriced or lacked the features that parents truly needed. The search for an affordable yet high-quality travel system sparked a question: What if affordable didn’t mean sacrificing excellence?
As parents ourselves, we knew that many families faced the same struggle. So, we decided to act. We wanted to create a brand that offered the best of both worlds – luxurious, stylish baby products that are also reasonably priced.
From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Brand
Our journey started in Cape Town, South Africa, where Nanoo Baby was born. Initially, our dream was modest: sell just one stroller a week. But to our surprise, our message resonated with parents across the country. We launched Nanoo Baby on November 1, 2023, and our first shipment sold out in just five months. This success was made possible by a simple, yet effective marketing strategy – a Facebook and Instagram page, alongside promotion through The Mom Archive. What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming demand for high-quality, affordable baby gear. It turns out many parents were searching for exactly what we were offering – a product that didn’t compromise on comfort, safety, or style.
